Steven Rydberg's fine art is catalogued in corporate and public collections including American Express, Medtronic, Target, the Plains Art Museum, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the Weisman Art Museum, and the Art Institute of Chicago.


His graphic work has received awards from the
 Art Directors Club of New York, the New York Society of Illustrators, American Institute of Graphic Arts, Print Magazine, Communication Arts Magazine, Graphis, the American Printing Industry, and two Gold Medals from the Los Angeles Society of Illustrators. Examples of his work are in several books on modern design.


As a composer, Mr. Rydberg's music has been performed at the Bergen International Music Festival, New York Chamber Music Festival, Aspen Music Festival, Chautauqua Music Festival, M.I.T., the Walker Art Center, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He has composed theater and ballet scores for the Shakespeare Theatre, Denver Center Theater, Syracuse Stage, Folger Theatre, Ohio Ballet, Guthrie Theater, Children’s Theatre Company, Ballet of the Dolls, Jungle Theater, and James Sewell Ballet. He has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, American Composers Forum, the Jerome Foundation, the Schubert Club, and three Twin Cities Drama Critics Kudos awards. His theater and ballet work is included in the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.
